I was part of the launch team for this small independent company and I performed a varied number of roles as the company grew. In April 2008 Rockworld TV was taken over by new investors and I was made redundant.

I had a team of three as well as myself to ensure that all programming was delivered on time and within budget. A list of Producer credits is available on request from me. I was also responsible for initial meetings with potential content providers including securing the filming rights to exclusive performances.
PR/Marketing: I worked closely with the marketing manager, PR Company and our webmaster to ensure as much coverage for the channel as possible within our set budgets. I was directly responsible for the upkeep and development of the channels networking pages. I regularly wrote newsletters and content for the website and sourced outside contributors. I also built a valuable contacts list and regularly kept updated on industry news.
Website: I was one of the main contributors to the website content as well as an integral member of the brainstorming team for ideas on how to improve the site. I regularly had to check that the entire site run smoothly and was directly involved in the set up of Rockworld TV’s online broadcast.
Office Manager: I was responsible for the day to day running of the office, ensuring even workload distribution between the staff, keeping abreast of all staff progress by holding regular staff meetings. I was also responsible for the general housekeeping such as stationary and refreshments as well as computer and building maintenance. I also opened and filed the post, sent outgoing post, filed contracts and other documents.

I was also the main contact for the office staff regarding personnel matters; I held regular reviews and disciplinary meetings when necessary. I also ran advertisements for positions that needed filling, vetted CV’s and held first round interviews for all the office based positions. I was also responsible for any issues raised by freelancers such as presenters and designers.
Financial: I was responsible for the upkeep and reporting of the production budget for the channel.
